Check and adjust the length of sleeves, pants and nightshirts according to the child size, before cutting your tissue.
Tissue
The measure in meter are indicative for a tissue width about 150 cm.
For example :
Tissue 1 : jersey (50) 55 (60) 65 (70) cm
gives the measure in meter in 150 cm of lenght, for sizes (2 years) 4 years (6 years) 8 years (10 years)
The models presented here are for children. It is therefore important to pay attention to materials used. The quality of fabrics is an important part in the success of your achievements.
Be sure to use natural materials, soft and comfortable to wear, such as cotton batiste and cotton jerseys. These may be of biological origin to minimize the risk of allergies.
Tissue should be washed and ironed before use to avoid shrinkage when the garment is washed once.
Sewing margins
Carefully add the sewing lines on the pattern margins. They are usually 1 cm and are specified for each model.
It is not recommended sewing patterns without adding lines of sewing or taking the next size up. This could have serious consequences on some models.
Direction of tissue
The right-line is indicated on each pattern piece. Be sure to respect, especially for stretch fabrics like jersey. The right-line is parallel to the direction of the edges of the fabric. For fabrics with decoration, parts of the same model should be cut in the same direction up / down. The decorations may otherwise not be in the same direction on all parts of the garment.
For velvet attention to the direction of the hair.
Stitching
It is necessary to stitch parts before assembling. The seams can be joined directly with a serger, if you have one.
Ironing
It is often asked in the technical specifications of marking folds to iron and run over. Do not get stuck on these operations, they allow for better finishes. To mark the folds, place the iron on the fabric, but do not pull the fabric to prevent warping
